Captain America statue dusted with comic book writer's ashes
New York Post | August 10, 2016
I meet the writer's widow, Catherine Schuller-Gruenwald (on right) at one of the show's I participate in. We had a lovely conversation in my booth, she was dressed from head to toe in Captain America and told me wonderful stories about her late husband, the legendary Marvel Comics editor and writer Mark Gruenwald who famously had his ashes mixed with printers ink for a paperback comic-book collection. In a few weeks, she was attending an event where she was going to sprinkle some of his remains on the newly-unveiled Captain America statue in Prospect Park and wanted something custom for the top of the box where she keeps her beloved husband's ashes in... that's where I came in!
